The Salt Creek... more (creek) is located across the road from this property and is very nice for canoeing when the water levels are normal and it is a great location for small mouth bass and rock bass. This property borders 3600 acres of ODNR managed Scioto Land Company lands.

The preserve was established in 1989 There are currently three cabins on the 65 acres with the two outer cabins designed to be sleeping quarters and containing (electric, base board heat, light with fan, sliding windows, room for two sets of bunks, phone jacks and Directv outlets. Both of these cabins are the same size). The inner most cabin, all cabins are connected via a common walkway, is equipped with (a commode, shower, small electric stove, washer and dryer hook ups, a sink, room for a fridge and microwave and an area for a common table and chairs). The cabins have a common half moon shaped lane with two points of entry and more than ample parking space. The cabins also have additional area in which to have a small fire ring or even a grill. There are two main entrance ways from the cabins into the actual hunting area. The hunting area is rolling with two slightly steep areas. There are trails throughout and very accessible by dirt bike, quad or side by side vehicle. The preserve will also come with two commercial hog feeders both capable of holding up to 1000 pounds of grain. There are several gates on the backside of the property that can lead out into the ODNR land if someone would want to charge for native hunts. The 65 acres with cabins, etc. is priced at $230,000.00.

To make Ohio law there is an additional 15 acres of ground available. This land is more open and flat and actually has several noteworthy features. There is a LARGE box blind that has been used for handicapped hunters and youth hunters in the past. There is a firing range up to 200 yards and an area that would make a terrific bow range. There is one gate into ODNR managed land that is within about 100 yards of a two to three acre pond that is alive with bass, bluegill, catfish and carp. The 15 acres is available and we are asking $45,000.00. The 15 acres can be leased for $200.00 a month or the previous owner would be willing to do land contract on the 15 acres.

There is a lodge on this property that is also for sale. At one time the lodge could sleep about 14. Every modern amenity is available in the lodge and there is also a nice butchering area in the rear of the building. The lodge is very good structurally and is destined for years of use. The lodge is selling for $40,000.00 or the previous owner is willing to rent the lodge for $500.00 a month or possibly add the lodge to the 15 acres for land contract.

This property is located only 12 miles to Laurelville, Ohio and 12 miles to Old Man's Cave. There is a ton of activities nearby that would more than entertain any non-hunting women that may accompany a hunter to the B&B. Old Man's Cave is perhaps one of Ohio's largest touring areas for a natural area.
