Delaware
Recent internal data lists $2 billion of Delaware land for sale, an increase over last month in terms of overall dollar value. With thousands of properties and rural land for sale in the state, this covers a combined 6,551 acres of land for sale in Delaware. The average price of land for sale in the First State is $443,773, which is on par with average prices here last month. Despite its relatively small size, Delaware is among the country's ten biggest broiler chicken-producing states, which fuel the nation's appetite for chicken nuggets and KFC buckets. Delaware ranks among the country's smallest states in terms of size, covering 2,489 square miles (2 million acres).

At just 1,954 square miles, Delaware is the smallest state in the country after Rhode Island. The economy here is largely driven by banking and financial services, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, with farming making up a much smaller slice of overall state GDP. A number of Delaware state parks, waterways and coastal regions offer outdoor recreation aplenty, including sea kayaking, deep-sea fishing and biking. Delaware is also a prime location for birds migrating down the Altantic "Flyway" between seasons, a boon for birdwatchers and hunters alike.
