Barrow Creek Tract is located on Country Club Rd., about midway between Lanett, AL (or West Point, GA) and Lafayette, AL. It can be found on a quiet paved road with power and public water. The seller currently lives on the property and would like to keep the house, outbuildings, and ±20 acres; thus offering the sale of ±406 acres with ±400 feet of road frontage on the west side and ±1,500 feet of frontage on the east side. At the front of the property, there are ±30 acres of mature 40+-year-old pine and hardwood and ±6 acres of well-managed hayfield/pasture. This area includes some nice private sites to build a home. The remainder of the property was timber harvested in 2004. Approximately 60 acres of the timber harvested had previously been old-field planted pine (planted in fertile hay fields), and it has naturally seeded back to a nearly pure stand of genetically improved pine currently ±20-30 feet tall. The rest of the harvested area is now a 13-year-old mixed pine/hardwood forest. Areas adjacent to the several streams running through the property are surrounded by mature hardwood.
