At 30 acres, Homestead 4 is more than a third of Walker Branch and the only homestead that holds a piece of everything here. The entire northern shoreline of the wetland pond, with a wildlife observation deck already standing over it. A private half-acre pond crossed by a wooden footbridge into a heritage oak grove. Open restored prairie. And along the eastern boundary, the wooded creek corridor the community is named for. The tree survey counted 82 trees of significance — more than any homestead here — anchored by an 87-inch live oak, the largest at Walker Branch, and the count stops at the creek woods because they're too dense to inventory. A water well with a large cistern and a small septic system are already in. There is only one homestead like this.

Search for "Freyburg TX" in your favorite map app, and it will give you directions to the corner of FM 956 and FM 2238. The main shared entrance to The Homesteads at Walker Branch is located on FM 956, approximately 100 yards east of that intersection.

Homesteads 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 can be accessed along FM 956. Homesteads 3, 4, and 5 are accessed along the main shared driveway with two plant beds on either side.
