Mountain View Lodge & Cafe
Mountain View Lodge and Caf is situated on a nearly 10 acre hillside overlooking historic downtown Fort Davis and Sleeping Lion Mountain. The original building was built in the 1930s and operated as a motor court and restaurant. Over the years the business expanded and today features a commercial kitchen, dining room, office space, a sunroom and six historic motel rooms. Portions of the historic building have been partially renovated but the original rock and stucco walls, beadboard ceilings, and heavy wooden doors remain giving charm and character to this piece of West Texas history.
Between 2005 and 2007 seven duplex cabins (14 rooms) with heating and cooling window units, kitchenettes, and bathrooms were added and generate great rental income. 4 rooms have queen sized beds and the remainder each have two full sized beds.

Two cottages with incredible views at the back of the property are also used for short term rentals via AirBnB. The first is a 2 bed/1 bath and the other is a 1 bed/1 bath. The property also includes two full RV site hookups with water, electric (30/50amp) and dump station and two tent camp sites listed via HipCamp.
A 1,944 sq ft. classroom/meeting room on the property provides a great gathering place for events but when the weather is nice the covered outdoor pavilion with a gas grill and seating for guests is the place to be! Laundry facilities are located in the back of the meeting room.
Water is provided by both the Fort Davis Water Supply and two private wells with storage tank. Rainwater catchment is also in place. Most of the property is being conveyed fully furnished (including duplex cabins and cottages) with some exceptions! Two shipping containers used for storage will also convey with purchase.
