This 150 acre Homestead shows the fine German craftsmanship used by the settlers of Mason County. The location for the home was placed among giant live oaks with views overlooking the fields and the wooded hills and takes advantage of the cool south breezes. The large fenced yard is of antique looped net wire. Two rock patios enhance the outdoor experience, one at the side of the home and one in the back yard with a rock barbecue pit. The three bedroom and one bath home was built in 1910-1937 and is constructed of concrete and wood with a stucco exterior. There was no electricity at the time, so construction was done with hand tools, a labor of love. Arches enhance the character of the wrap-a-round covered porch. Metal roofs cover all the improvements. Floors are original wood, tile or carpeting. Central Heat only.
