The cistern in front of the Earthship collects the water from the main bathroom roof plus the greywater from the sinks and shower. This water is used to water outside, in the greenhouses and the inside planters. The plants love the soft rainwater! There’s a new septic system as of Spring 2025 with a capacity for 3 bedrooms at a cost of $15,800. The owners augment their drinking water by importing water or using a Berkey filter at the sinks for drinking and cooking.
