Bocage, considered one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in America, was built in 1837. It is attributed to noted architect James H. Dakin, who would later design Louisiana’s Gothic Revival Old State Capitol (1847 – 1849). Bocage is located on historic River Road between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, facing east to greet the rising sun.
Bocage is being sold substantially furnished and with approximately 8 acres of land.
Bocage was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 20, 1991.
