Northeast Oregon Ranch
The Rupp Ranch near Hereford, Oregon, is a new offering located approximately 35 miles south of Baker City in Baker County. The ranch consists of approximately 1,700 deeded acres split between two parcels.
The main ranch contains 1,060 acres, of which approximately 550 acres are irrigated. This irrigated land includes 200 acres of high-quality flood and sub-irrigated meadow and permanent pasture. The balance of the irrigated ground is serviced by seven pivots and a small section of wheel lines. Water rights are excellent; water is released from the Higgins Reservoir into the Burnt River, which flows through the ranch’s meadow portion before being pumped to the sprinklers. While the ranch is currently utilized for grass and pasture, several of the pivot-irrigated fields are suitable for alfalfa production.
The current operation supports 350 pairs for the grazing season. The property is well-fenced for ease of management and includes an older single-family home, an older double-wide manufactured home, a large shop, and two grain bins. Additionally, the ranch features an excellent set of livestock working facilities and corrals.
The upper tract comprises 640 acres of native range pasture, offering premier mule deer and elk hunting. Overall, this is a productive pasture ranch with strong grass and proven output. This is a first-time offering and is priced to sell. Offered at $3,500,000.
