Directly adjacent to the Lake Superior’s south shore lies this exceptional piece of hunting land amidst mixed farm lands and big woods. Being this close to the big water, the minerals and soils in this area produce some very impressive whitetail bucks, as any time you are close to major river systems or large bodies of water the antler growth is tremendous. Not only that, these deer push the 300-pound mark live weight and are the hardiest of all whitetails in the state.  A ten-minute drive will put you up to the Port Wing marina, where you can land your boat and fish Lake Superior for Lake Trout, Browns, Chinook, and Coho Salmon. Another short drive to the south will put you in vast areas of Chequamegon National Forest and Bayfield County land full of ruffed grouse and more recently in the last ten years or so turkeys have really taken off. Black bear hunting in this area is also rated number one in the United States, and in general Northwestern Wisconsin is the top trophy region for whitetail and black bear combined. A mostly wooded piece of land that also offers a small field on its eastern side that can be utilized for food plots and a building location. Power comes to the end of the road in the corner of the property, and the road is very good. Nearby small towns include Bayfield and Ashland to the east and Duluth, Minnesota is less than an hour west. A truly great hunting area with the greatest of all the Great Lakes just a few miles away makes this an extraordinary piece of ground and just another example of the diversity in Northern Wisconsin.
