Beaver Creek originates in the high elevations of the Big Horn Mountains and is a tributary to Shell Creek providing fertile creek bottom and irrigation water along the way. This area is rich in geology, wild life, and recreation and holds amazing vistas including historic W Canyon and other deep chasms and mesas that form the western edge of the Big Horns. The ranch is a base camp for the numerous trails, creeks, and roads that provide access to the endless expanse of public land in the region.
The Lazy Springs Ranch saddles both sides of the valley as Beaver Creek meanders for a mile through the Cottonwood lined meadows. The ranch is accessed off a county maintained Road that connects to US Highway 14 near the enchanting town of Shell that was named for the many shells and fossils in the vicinity. Geology and recreation are not the only things the area is known for as agriculture plays a big part in the landscape. The charming town of Greybull, 20 miles to the west is host to the areas schools and retail business. Pheasants, Hungarian Partridge, White Tail Deer, and Antelope are among the wildlife on the property; and there are several honey holes for Elk and Mule Deer on Public Land adjacent to the ranch.
