Great care has been taken to keep cedar under control, and thankfully there is very little remaining, as the property is dominated by desirable Hardwoods. WATER:
Seasonal Falls Creek begins on the ranch, and keeps water in a large spring fed tank even in drought conditions, and there are also two other sizable tanks that hold water in wet times. The spring fed tank is over an acre when full. Groundwater in the area is plentiful according to well records, and there are two new strong water wells, one at 60 GPM, and the other at 17 GPM. There are also additional drainages that appear to be quality areas to build additional tanks and/or lakes.
WILDLIFE:
Red Oak Mountain has a plentiful whitetail herd and is also home to Turkey, Ducks, Dove, and even a few Quail. Hunting pressure has been light and the ranch should hunt much bigger than the acreage measures, considering all of the topography.
