The property borders the Great Plains Correctional Center to the northwest but is otherwise surrounded by lush valleys, homes and pastures. Details: Golf Course The Mark Hayes-designed course is a 6,837 yard, Par 71, with a slope of 125 and course rating of 73.1. Hayes designed the course for ease of maintenance. Taking into consideration that it straddles both prairie and canyons, he was able to offer players two very distinctive nines. When it opened, the course was named "The Best New Bargain in 2000" by Golf Digest magazine. The front nine is designed around several lakes, while the back nine offers more challenging terrain with hillsides and sandstone ravines. The course has three sets of tee boxes and offers a fun, challenging experience. The golf course is serviced by a large maintenance building and plentiful irrigation from one of three wells on the property. Clubhouse & Buildings The clubhouse is comprised of three large spaces that make up the pro shop, grill and meeting space. The building is handsomely designed with brick, glass blocks and large open windows overlooking the course and driving range. The grill has an open service area, indoor seating, and backroom prep and wash area with service entrance. Men's & women's bathrooms contain lockers and showers and are adjacent to the meeting room which can accommodate large parties, or be sectioned off with a mobile wall for more intimate gatherings.
