VEGETATION: Common grass species on the ranch include blue stem, black grama, blue grama, and tobosa grass. Chemise and winter fat browses. The ranch has pinon, juniper, and cedar trees.
TERRAIN: The terrain is low open meadow land with some rock outcroppings and rolling hills up to a steep mesa.
ELEVATION: The ranch ranges from 6,550 to 7,240 feet.
SCHOOLS: Quemado Elementary and High School are located 8 miles from the HQ. Students are bussed to school from smaller outlying communities. Class sizes are small, so each student receives a lot of individual attention which can provide students with an excellent education.
La Ventana Natural Arch Just 60 miles away is the located in the El Malpais National Monument. This serves as an example of one of the natural beauties in the area.
Quemado Lake is only a 30-minute drive from the ranch.
