This is wooded wetland and not swamp. The trees growing in the forested area are doing well with many large sawtimber sized white oak throughout. The land is mostly level which does allow for ponding of water in some areas, particularly toward the south end of the property near Conewango Creek. This circumstance provides good habitat annually for both deer and ducks alike. The deer trails are literally pounded to mud highways throughout the wooded area as the deer are abundant here, feeding on the white oak acorns.
