The lay of the land is typical for the area with rolling hills and a mix of gentle and steeper slopes. Currently the land is all wooded with no significant openings. Much of the land that is now in planted pine lays well to be used for large food plots or pastures. There are two entrances, one on each side of the highway, where land is gently sloping and might make easy sites for building. Electric lines are along West End Road, and a small distribution line crossed the property going to a neighbor’s house. There are no public waterlines nearby. Any improvements would rely on well and septic.
The surrounding area is mostly large, timberland tracts. Houses are scattered along the highway. A survey completed in 1952 describes the tract as 114 acres. There is no street address for the property.
The town of Chester is less than a 10-minute drive away and offers restaurants, doctors, churches, and several stores including hardware, Tractor Supply, and Food Lion Grocery. The tract is about 6 miles from Chester, 25 miles from Rock Hill, 59 miles from Columbia, and 55 miles from Charlotte. All distances are approximate road miles to the center of town.
