West End Tract

West End tract has great access with about 3.600 feet of total highway frontage. Hwy 72 / 121 (West End Road) runs through the middle of the property with about 55 acres lying on the north side and about 58 acres to the south.

The land is mostly covered by a vigorous, young stand of loblolly pines. These advanced genetics seedlings were planted in January of 2018 on about 81 acres. They are well-spaced and free to grow with little woody competition on site.

Pockets of natural hardwood and pine, totaling about 27 acres, are scattered across the tract on steeper slopes and around gullied areas. These trees vary in age but are generally more than 30 years old. Oaks, yellow poplar, and red maple are common.

From Chester, at the intersection of Columbia Street and West End Street (city hall on the corner), go west on West End street. After about 1 mile, come to Hwy 321 Bypass and continue straight across onto West End Road (Hwy 72 / 121). Go about 4.5 miles on West End Road, passing Chester State Park, and come to Bear Hill Drive on your right. Passing Bear Hill Drive, the property begins on both sides of the highway as you go downhill. Property entrances will be on top of the next hill on both sides of the highway, about 6 miles total distance from center of town.
