412 acres of apples with the following spacings:
171 acres planted at 12x18 spacings (15.5 acres in trellis)
229 acres at 10x18 spacings
11.3 acres at 6'x18' trellis spacings.
Most apple trees were planted in the 1980s; most recent plantings were in 2018 & 2019 - now coming into production (this accounts for about 25%).
For the most part, the density is about 220 trees per acre. 25 acres are trellised in a denser pattern pioneered on Israeli orchards that takes advantage of drip irrigation and provides labor savings at harvest time.
Tree Varieties:
Apple: Granny Smith, Gala, Fuji, Red Delicious, Pink Lady, Lady in Red, Red Cameo, Sundowner, Ambrosia, & Sweetie.
Pear: Bartlett, Red D'Anjou, & Bosc.
Water:
All the orchards are irrigated by using water pumped from an underground aquifer.
