The main and east forks of Boxelder Creek run through the property offering several miles of trout fishing. Additionally, the ranch provides year around habitat for one of Wyoming's world-class elk herds. Wyoming Elk Area Number 7 produces some of the largest trophy elk taken by fair chase hunting in the State each year.
Originally developed as a guest ranch, the R Bar M ranch was converted to a family retreat in the 1980's and it is impeccably maintained. The ranch headquarters sits in a pristine and park-like setting and offers a 7,600 square foot lodge with eight bedroom suites, a restored log home and a small frame home. A log horse barn, garage, and several other buildings provide room for ranch and recreation equipment.
Surrounding the R Bar M are large cattle ranches. The R Bar M has been used as a family summer retreat, but it is also ideal for hunting, fishing or a small cattle operation. The entire ranch has been cared for, updated and maintained like few.
The main lodge has 3800 square feet on the main level with two very large entertaining and dining rooms, a kitchen with commercial capacity, an office, bathrooms, utility rooms and caretakers quarters. The second level has eight bedroom suites. Every room has gorgeous views. A historic log home of 1260 sq. ft. has been meticulously renovated and provides 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and a front porch with views across a hay meadow back towards the main lodge. An A-frame home was built in the 1980's and has two bedrooms, a sleeping loft, kitchen and living room. Again, all improvements are in very good condition.
The log barn, corrals, fencing, and various out buildings provide storage and function for ranch and recreation needs. The ranch is private, beautiful and an easy drive from Casper, Wyoming.
