In GMU 83, antlered elk licenses are over-the-counter for second and third season rifle, as well as either sex archery! Black bear licenses are also over-the-counter, which is private land only with caps. Mule deer licenses are part of the limited draw process as well. Pronghorn licenses are private land. Recreation: Bugle Ranch offers a vast amount of activities, including hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing! Anglers will find a variety of reservoirs very close to the ranch, including Eastdale Reservoir, Smith Reservoir, Mountain Home Reservoir, and Sanchez Reservoir. Species of fish include northern pike, carp, catfish, walleye, and perch at the Sanchez Stabilizing Reservoir which is very close to Bugle Ranch! Sanchez caters to almost every kind of fishing, whether you're baitcasting, fly fishing or spinning, your chances of getting a good afternoon arm workout are high! The closest airport is San Luis Valley Regional Airport. Bugle Ranch is less than an hour drive from the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
