Gold prices reached an all time high of $4000 per ounce.

This claim is in a very mineralized area, and is great for rock hounds, metal detecting, relic hunting, and dry-washing. Many historical gold rich producing mines were in this area,

Canyon mountain views and great views of the surrounding mountains and rock formations.

A good sign for our claims here are the other experienced prospectors who have claims in this area before us working their claims for years.

We also found some nice specimens of Black Fire Opal (the Nevada State gem), agates, and turquoise. Arrowheads and relics are often found in this area dating back to the Paiute Nation.

Up the mountain ridge and the buttes on the claim are good places for gems.

Camp on the claim in flatter areas off the main road, or area National Forest campgrounds.

Great prospecting location being next to 2 mountain ridges where snow and rain bring down gold and gems from the mountainsides onto the claim.

The nearby town of Minden has been voted one of the best small towns in the US.

NEVADA ROCKHOUNDING

Nevada is an actual rockhounding paradise. The reason is Nevada was once totally under water, back when giant marine reptiles swam freely in a gigantic, shallow sea in an area that would later become Nevadas Great Basin. Majorgeological activity happened, making way for massive deposits of silver, gold, opalized wood, onyx, agate, geodes, jasper, turquoise, and a whole lotta fossils. It helped make Nevada the lucrative mining area it is today.

In Nevada, spending the day searching for little bits of natural history can be the perfect way to connect with the great outdoors. You will have the thrill of cracking open a slab of shale to reveal a trilobite fossil or unearthing a gorgeous nugget of turquoise. Once you find your first gemstone, youll wonder why you didnt start rockhounding earlier.

With a population of just 3,000 residents, Mindon is surrounded by the breathtaking Carson Valley and boasting a town center that will remind you of yesteryear.

Minden is proud of its old-fashioned charm which remains present to this very day. As you stroll through the historic downtown, you're bound to spot 100-year-old homes and sturdy brick buildings which were designed by famous Nevada architect Frederick Delongchamps.

The town itself feels like something out of a bygone era. Boasting a nice array of charming businesses including local restaurants, antique stores, and art galleries, it's the type of community that's getting harder to find these days.

GOLD HISTORY: Gold mining in Nevada is a major industry, and one of the largest sources of gold in the world. In 2018 Nevada produced 5,581,160 troy ounces representing 78% of US gold and 5.0% of the world's production. Total gold production recorded from Nevada from 1835 to 2017 totals 205,931,000 troy ounces, worth US$322.6 billion at todays values.

Modern mining began in Nevada in 1849 with the discovery of placer gold in a stream flowing into the Carson River near the present town of Dayton. This discovery was made by 49ers on their way to the California gold fields,

By the Spring of 1851, some 200 placer miners, including James Old Virginny Finney, were working in the area.

A $199 deed processing fee is paid with final monthly payment.

After receiving your final monthly payment, I will process 2 notarized deeds, transferring my claim ownership over to you, with both the BLM and Douglas County.

TOWN OF GARDNERVILLE

Gardnerville Nevada holds down the southern half Carson Valleys bustling business corridor alongside the adjoining town of Minden. Gardnerville still exudes the historic charm that has drawn countless people to the region since the mid-1800s. Neighboring Genoa at the foot of the Sierra Nevada may have been the first settlement in the state, but it was Gardnerville that became Nevadas first hub for agriculture and mining supplies during the late 19th century.

Gardnerville is located in Douglas County about 25 minutes south of the state capital of Carson City. Visitors often come to the town of Gardnerville for a leisurely stroll along its flower-lined streets and to see the many historic buildings on and around Main Street. Gardnerville is home to many unique stores, saloons and eateries, all of which are set against the beautiful backdrop of the often snow-capped Sierras. Gardnerville also was home to many early Basque settlers whose presence remains to this day the J.T. Basque Restaurant has served Gardnerville residents since Hans Nelson relocated the Victorian-era building from Virginia City in 1896.

CARSON VALLEY

Carson Valley rests at a crossroads of sorts. It sits at the transition between the Sierra Nevada and the Great Basin, the West Coast and the Wild West, the high alpine and the high desert. The valley is guarded on the west by rugged 10,000-foot peaks, the same mountains that cradle Lake Tahoe. Northern Nevadas most scenic valley is scattered with open space, golf courses, expansive farms and ranches, parks, shops and hotels. Your journey through the Carson Valley stretches from Genoa in the northwest through the towns of Gardnerville and Minden. The trip is paid off with the refreshing reward of Topaz Lake to the south.

TOIYABE NATIOAL FOREST

Explore the diverse landscapes of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. From towering snow-capped peaks to wide-open sage steppes, the Forest is known for its many recreational opportunities.

The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forests spectacular 6.3 million acres make it the largest National Forest in the lower 48 states. The Forest does not resemble most other National Forests in that it has numerous fairly large but non-contiguous sections scattered across most of the state of Nevada and a portion of eastern California.

SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS

The Carson Range is a spur of the Sierra Nevada in eastern California and western Nevada that starts at Carson Pass and stretches north to the Truckee River near Verdi, Nevada.

The Carson Range is located along the border between California and Nevada. It runs to the east, southeast, and northeast of Lake Tahoe. It is about 50 miles north-south, but only about 5 to 10 miles east-west. Nearly 3/4 of the range is in Nevada, with the rest in California mostly the southern and northwestern part of the range. It is named after Kit Carson, the legendary American frontiersman.

Unlike the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west of Lake Tahoe, the Carson Range loses its snow much earlier, and gains it much later. In fact, it receives about half the snowfall as mountains west of the lake. This allows for a longer hiking and climbing season

If within one year you are not satisfied with your claim, you can trade for another comparable claim, just paying the BLM and County transfer fees which will be about $125.

This is a 20 acre unpatented, gold and gem mining claim, the Tahoe Gold #14 placer claim.

The claim is legally registered with the Nevada Bureau of Land Management and Douglas County.

You own the mineral rights, not sharing with others, on the 20 acres, and use your 20 acres, recreationally for camping: tent, camper, or RV, and prospecting, with beautiful views of nearby mountain ranges and rock formations.

Location Monument is a 4 foot wood post that has been placed, with an attached copy of our Location Notice, as required by the BLM.

For any building like a shed, you need to file a Plan of Operation with the BLM for approval. For anything to live in, you would need to file a Plan of Operation with the BLM for approval, and to be considered, you would need to have developed a full-time mining operation.

For the possibility of constructing any building you or others could live in, you need to file a Plan of Operation with the BLM for approval, showing you have developed a full-time operation performing diligent mining.

You do not need a plan, permission nor a permit to camp and prospect.

You do not need to be a full time prospector to file a Plan for a shed type structure.

With an approved BLM Plan of Operation, a building can be built on the land: any building that benefits and improves the claim.

As stated by the BLM, this can be the "construction of a building, road, fence, or enclosure necessary for mining."

Current usage, is what the BLM calls, Casual Use: panning, shovel, rock hammer, metal detector, and creek powered sluice box.

You can prospect as little or as much as you like.

Now that we have located the claim, you never have to declare to the BLM any gold or gems you find.

On our trips to the claim, we found about 1/8 of an ounce of gold in and around the extended creek and wash on the claim, value approx. $250. Those with more time to prospect may find more. Today's gold prices are over $4000/ounce.

Though we could never guarantee what you will find, we did locate this claim in an historically rich area for gold prospecting.

Gold prices have gone up over $500 per ounce in just this past year.

We also found some nice specimens of Black Fire Opal (the Nevada State gem), agates, and turquoise.

You are allowed to post No Trespassing for Prospecting signs in and around the claim.

A mining claim owner may limit or restrict public recreational use of/or public access across claims or portions of claims that are actively used for prospecting, mining, or processing operations where public recreational use of a claim would endanger or materially interfere with legitimate mining pursuits.

A transfer of ownership is a sale of legal, exclusive ownership of a mining claim site. To be a legally recorded claim, gold had to be found on the claim, which was completed by us, as we are the original claim locators.

Your ownership is legally conveyed via a Quit Claim deed, and legally recorded with the BLM and Clark County. A Quit Claim deed is the required legal document per the BLM.

Each year, on or before September 1st, you need to file a simple form with the Bureau of Land Management, along with $200. We will supply this form to you. You can also pay online with the BLM by credit card.

You keep the claim forever by paying this annual fee.

Fee is paid, not due again until September 1, 2026.

There are no taxes on mining claims in Nevada.

You must be a current US citizen with a US address to own a mining claim in the US.

An unpatented mining claim is a specific parcel of federal land, valuable for a specific mineral deposit or deposits. It is a parcel for which an individual has asserted a legal right of possession and the right to develop and extract a discovered, valuable, mineral deposit. Mining claims are real property that you can buy, sell, or inherit. After proving the existence of valuable minerals on the land, the claim is legally recorded with the Bureau of Land Management, and Pinal county.

Gold always occurs in gravels in the metallic state and when so found has various physical characteristics. Gold is dense and heavy, it has a characteristic metallic color, and it is soft and easily malleable (it is easily formed by hammering). These are the characteristics used by prospectors to identify gold in the field. Placer gold occurs on the claim as small grains derived from gossan formed by weathering, and oxidation of the gold, copper and iron rich veins. Gold also occurs as grains flakes and small nuggets derived from the erosion of mineralized fault zones.

The Federal Government owns the land.

You are purchasing the mineral rights.

You own the mineral rights, including gold and gems on the claim, as real property, being the same legal ownership as for land and homes.

You can legally camp for free, with camper and RV on the whole 20 acres.
