Getting to this property is straightforward. You won't need a compass or a mule to find it, just a reliable truck and a set of eyes for the mountains. Youre looking for a spot about 15 miles south of the town of Montello, tucked right in the shadow of Pilot Peak.

Here is the best way to get there:

From the North (Montello, NV)

Start in Montello: Head south out of town on NV-233 S (which the locals just call the main road).

Turn onto Pilot Road: About a mile or so out of town, youll see the turn for Pilot Road on your left. This is a good, wide county-maintained gravel road.

Head South: Stay on Pilot Road for approximately 14.5 miles. Youll be driving parallel to the mountain range on your right. Its a beautiful drive, and the road is solid enough for most vehicles.

Look for the Spot: As you approach the coordinates (41.10273, -114.14039), the property will be on your left-hand side (the east side of the road). Youll know youre in the right place because the land opens up toward the valley floor, and youll see the vast stretch of BLM land starting right at your back border.

From the South (I-80 / Wendover Area)

Take Exit 398: Get off Interstate 80 at Exit 398 (the Pilot Peak exit).

Head North on Pilot Road: Turn right (north) onto Pilot Road.

Follow the Mountain: Youll drive north for about 15 to 16 miles. Youll pass the Pilot Valley Ranch area.

Arrive at the Site: The property will be on your right-hand side just before you get into the heart of the Sunland Acres area.

A Farmer's Tip: While Pilot Road is a sturdy road, this is still the high desert. Its always a good idea to have a full tank of fuel and some water in the cab before you head out. If you hit a spot where the cell service drops, just keep your eyes on Pilot Peak to your westits the best landmark in the county.
