Hang a hammock in the tall white pines behind the basecamp where you can enjoy a good book or an afternoon nap after a day spent hiking, fishing or exploring the area. The terrain is relatively flat throughout the property with some very subtle grade changes. There is also a natural spring on the southern end of the property. Located in Jay and perfectly located to explore the High Peaks Region and some of the best hiking trails in the Adirondacks. Just down the road is the historic covered bridge in Jay where you can explore the gentle waterfalls or swim in one of the many swimming holes of the Ausable River. Fishermen take notice you are just minutes from some of the best fly fishing in NYS, and cast fishing can be enjoyed on one of the many lakes in the area, including Lake Placid and the Saranacs.
