Duck Impoundments on Tara at Pleasant Hill Plantation

The available ponds have been in duck management over the past 20 years, and have a very healthy population of migrating wood ducks and other species.  They have also been historically supplemented with release mallards, which helps attract migrating ducks into the flooded fileds.  The ponds were originally used as catfish ponds, but have been converted into high quality impoundments for growing towering corn fields.  Deep-water wells with line shaft pumps driven by three phase electrical power provide plenty of volume to pump up the ponds. 

Additional acreage avaiable for lease including old growth quail woods, 5 star lodging and dining facilities, and prime deer and turkey hunting ground.
