The current improvements were the dream of Fred and Barbara Stockbauer. Desiring to move out of Austin for the simpler life of Wimberley, Fred and Barbara decided to build their forever home on land that Fred had purchased years ago. Fred was an artist, goldsmith, and engineer so he had great talent to put together a plan for this incredible property. Fred had a vision to utilize the stone from the old quarry on the property. The builder didnt think there would be enough, but it turned out there was enough stone on the property to build the entire home and beautiful fireplace (Fred chose the mantle and hearth stone with care) as well as the outbuildings. One single mason did the entire project and did an amazing job. The stone on this home is so beautiful and shows excellent craftmanship.

Beautiful wood can be seen throughout the home. Authentic Texas Pecan and Hickory wood floors and custom cabinets as well as wood railings. Custom five-panel wooden doors are throughout the home with the entry door being antique reworked stained glass. Cathedral ceilings in the main living area feature Eastern Cedar beams that are beautiful.
