Crystal Falls, MI 49920(Iron County)

This 40 acre parcel is approx 16 miles into the woods NE of US-141, and about 5 miles north of the Michigamme Reservoir. Access is via the seasonal WPA and Deerfoot Lodge Roads. The Deerfoot Lodge Road is often kept open during the winter for area logging operations. The 40 acre parcel was logged and replanted with red pine about 10 years ago. The red pine are growing nicely, affording nice hunting for deer and grouse. There are some small pockets of hardwood scattered on the parcel. There is also a small sand/gravel pit in the SE corner of the parcel. The roads are packed and mostly flat, with some slight rolling areas. The intersecting McMlllian Road does split south and leave the property in its SE corner. Overall, this parcel would make a great remote, backcountry hunting camp, as it's surrounded by State of Michigan land. Hunt the 1000s of acres of surrounding land, and fish the nearby Fence River or Michigamme Reservoir. Hike, snowshoe, and cross-country ski on this parcel and all of the miles of the surrounding area!
