DESCRIPTION: This 99± acre coastal timber and recreation tract is located 4± miles east of the coastal resort community of Florence, and offers recreation potential with 1,000± feet of frontage along Duncan Inlet, a tributary to the Siuslaw River. Bernhardt County Road provides convenient access to the property, offering opportunity for development of a recreational camp or RV site along the Siuslaw River. The graveled county road is privately maintained and usually accessible by passenger vehicle. There is a locked gate 1.5 miles northeast of the property (see map in the Supplemental Information Package). A BPA owned Right-Of-Way separates the tract south of the county road into two parcels that are mostly steep northeast facing slopes. The property contains primarily 15± year old well-stocked Douglas fir and spruce reproduction, with 118± MBF of residual sitka spruce and alder located in the riparian management zone. This unique property contains approximately 12 acres of estuarine habitat, providing opportunity for fishing and wildlife viewing.
