TOPOGRAPHY: The Buckhorn parcel consists of about 30 acres of Buckhorn Reservoir. The remainder of this parcel is flat to steeper hills which surround the drainage basin leading into the reservoir. The Observation Peak parcel lies at the east base of Observation Peak. This parcel is gently rolling with junipers and sage brush covered hills. The Horn Road parcel is generally flat and covered with sage brush. With development of a large ag well, this parcel could possibly be developed to a seasonal marsh or farm land.

WILDLIFE: The Buckhorn Reservoir parcel has good numbers of ducks and geese during the fall migration. Also in the past Buckhorn Reservoir has been stocked with trout by the Department of Fish and Game. All three parcels have deer, antelope, and sage grouse.

COMMENTS: The Buckhorn Reservoir parcel, if it is developed with hunting blinds, could possibly be very good waterfowl hunting during the fall migration. It may also be possible for the owner to get a landowner tag and hunt mule deer on all three parcels from the Department and Fish and Game. All three parcels are located in the deer hunting zone of X-5b with only 50 tags in past years which makes this zone almost impossible to draw.
