Wildlife sign is abundant, with whitetail deer being the most prevalent big game animal. Three ruffed grouse flushed from the thick evergreen stands during my visit. Woodcock, turkey and snowshoe rabbit are other game species one might expect to encounter in this area. This property is located near the core of one of the most popular snowmobiling destinations in the Northeast and lies just south and west of main corridor snowmobile trails C4A & B. ATV enthusiasts can connect to all the major trails on Tug Hill from an access point on the Fish Creek Road, ~1.5 miles east of the property. Two popular recreational destinations nearby include a 10-minute drive to the Snow Ridge Ski Center in Turin and a 15-minute drive to Whetstone Gulf State Park. Grocery and department stores in Lowville and Rome are but 30 minutes away.Lewis County is a very rural and friendly part of the state.
