Platte River Wildlife
This lush wonderland on the banks of the North Platte River is home to a large number of white tailed deer, somemule deer, and turkey. The sloughs on the west side of the property provide open water in the coldest weatherto large numbers of ducks and geese during the winter months. This area of the river has not been hunted forwaterfowl for many years, so the numbers roosting here during migration have grown large. These same sloughsprovide perfect areas for fish, and enormous Northern Pike and Bass are caught with great frequency.
Access is provided by an easement road that leads to both the east and west ends of the property on the southside of the river.
