Scattered upland areas have consistently yielded superb whitetail harvests over many years with established genetics that make this much more than just a duck hunter's retreat. All enhanced areas are situated far enough from the actual channel as to avoid the heavy siltation that can come from the river. While the majority of the acreage is in the floodplain, there is a 10-12 acre area not far off the county road that could support a nice structure, like a hunting lodge, if so desired.
