This 193 acre, tshape timber and recreation tract is located within the Siuslaw National Forest, eight miles east of the coastal resort community of Yachats, along a northfacing ridge above the Yachats River. Cape Perpetua Scenic Area and Cummins Creek Wilderness Area are nearby. There are 35 acres of wellstocked 16 year old Douglasfir reproduction in the southeast section and 126 acres of 6 year old Douglasfir throughout the balance of the tract, with the exception of 15 acres east of Helms Creek which has an estimated 411 MBF of a Douglas fir, white woods, and alder mix. An estimated 7.5 acres of the tract along Helms Creek is classified as a riparian management area. There is excellent yearround access from coastal Highway 101 along Cummins Peak Road (55) that starts two miles south of Yachats at the Cape Perpetual Visitor Center. USFS spur road 5891 provides access to the southeast corner of the property and from Keller Creek Road via Yachats River Road there is access to the southern portion of the property.
The nearby Cape Perpetua Scenic Area includes majestic headlands along the coast and 26 miles of interconnected hiking trails in an old growth forest. There are several good locations on the property for camping and an RV site.

Township 15 South, Range 11 West, Section 3, Tax Lot 900. From Highway 101 take Yachats River Road west 7 miles to Keller Creek Road. Turn right and go 1.8 miles to a sign that says Cape Perpetua, proceed 11 miles and turn right, staying on Keller Creek Road. Follow 3 miles to property.
