About John Burchmore

A resident of Ridgway since 2017 and the Telluride area since 1997, John is familiar with the mountains, resort communities and Ridgway. With a background of sales, marketing and development, John's work history is diverse. John grew up in Lake Forest, IL where his family owned a multi-generational residential Real Estate Firm. After graduating from Ripon College in WI, with a degree in Economics, John went to work with a leading commercial Real Estate Firm in Chicago, Fuller Commercial Brokerage. From there he moved to Traverse City, Ml to the first of many resort destinations, working for DSI Resort Properties of Traverse City managing their real estate office in Leelanau County. In Aspen, John was Business Development Manager for the Snowmass Resort Association. John's experience in the mountains is extensive. A big game hunter for 30 years in the mountains on horseback, bow-hunting, flyfishing and a variety of species. He has traveled the world for experiences hunting, fishing and more from Romania, Russia, Mexico, South Africa and many locations.John’s wife Jill grew up in Aspen where the two met and were married in the early 90’s. Jill and John moved to Ridgway after their boy’s flew the coop and decided to make a change after raising the family and living in Telluride for 20 years. Ridgway is home and the living experience is one we’d love to share with you.
