Located at the end of a county-maintained gravel road, this ranch is home of one of the most beautiful and historic stretches of the Colorado River that can be found in Texas. With 3538 feet along the banks of the Colorado River, this ranch has more frontage than most ranches that are several times larger in acreage. Access to the river is good as it gets in that you can drive right out on a gravel bar next to the water. There are two gravel bars on the river and water depths range from ankle-deep wading to deep swimming holes. The property is located downstream from where the San Saba River enters the Colorado, so there is always a strong flow of water there and the fishing is excellent!

This area is called Harmony Ridge and is one of the oldest settlements in San Saba County. The old Chadwick Mill dam that once diverted the river water to run a gristmill is still located there. This was a bustling meeting place for many years until the early 1900s where the folks from miles around would bring their grain to be ground and while there, a lot of socializing went on.
A beautiful log home sits at the highest point on the ranch. From the front porch you can enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside as well as the pastoral river bottom valley on this ranch. The home has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, a great room with vaulted ceilings and rustic dcor throughout. Large decks are on both the front and back of the home. There is also a barn-style yard shed near the house that is used for tool storage and parking plus another metal shelter for storing the farm equipment.
