Across from the island is one large country estate with a new subdivision along the river to the north. The immediate neighbors are small cabins on small lots along the creek. Actually there used to be two county bridges and a county road across the island. Both bridges washed out 30 years ago and the little cabin got stranded.... It features a propane fireplace and a wood stove to keep warm in winter. Kind of cosy. There is one small room besides the Living/Dining Room, if you stretch it a bit, you could call that a bedroom. The cabin comes with an electric cook stove and fridge.
The present owner makes due with pumping water from the river and in winter she cuts a hole into the ice to get a bucket of water. There are lots of deer, moose, plenty of birds and other furry friends. Since you are in the trees, you can't be seen by any neighbors. How about a draw bridge and a moat monster? ;-)
