The North Butte Club is one of the best clubs in the Butte Sink.
LOCATION: The property is located in the center of the legendary Butte Sink. The Butte Sink is a very large natural seasonal marsh which is famous for its excellent waterfowl hunting since the turn of the century. The Butte Sink is located approximately 45 miles north of our state capitol, Sacramento.
TOPOGRAPHY: The 380 acres, m/l of hunting grounds are a pristine seasonal marsh. Most of the grounds are as they were since the beginning of time. Large willows and cottonwoods are surrounded by bull rush tule stands. The property also has a large island which is above the natural shooting water level of the club. High water flooding does not occur every year in the Butte Sink but it is a common occurrence.
WILDLIFE EASEMENT: The entire property excluding the clubhouse area is protected by a perpetual US Fish & Wildlife Service easement. The easement protects the property from any future development forever.
BLINDS/BOATING: The hunting grounds are approximately one mile west of the clubhouse area. The grounds are easily reached by boat via the main boat channel which starts at the boat harbor at the clubhouse. There are approximately twenty (20) duck blinds. Most of the blinds have a boat hide to park your boat and from the boat hide a camouflaged two-man platform stand with a dog ladder is equipped at each blind. All of the blinds are easily accessed by boat through the boat channel system on the property.
CLUBHOUSE: A beautiful eleven bedroom clubhouse which includes a caretakers quarter was constructed in 2005 after the original clubhouse was lost to fire. In addition to the bedrooms and caretakers quarters, the clubhouse includes a commercial kitchen, a very large great room, and dining area, shop area, and duck cleaning room. With eleven bedrooms each member has his own personal bedroom with a private bathroom. Each bedroom has two beds and a private gun cabinet. There are no showers in the bedrooms. Showers are in a separate bathroom near the guest bedroom. The clubhouse is situated on 1.64 assessed acres (see attached assessor map).
PROXIMITY TO OTHER CLUBS: The North Butte Duck Club is situated very near the center of the Butte Sink. Some of the famous clubs in close proximity to the North Butte Duck Club are the Field & Tule, Sacramento Outing, El Aznar, Butte Lodge, and Sutter Butte Duck Clubs. (See attached map).
COMMENTS: I can personally vouch for this property because I have been very fortunate to hunt this property with Tom Fogarty, who is a current member. During most of our hunts, we mainly shot greenheads, and I cannot say enough good things about the North Butte. Please call us for a private showing.

INGRESS & EGRESS: The property is easily accessed via Highway 20 to West Butte Road. Highway 20 intersects Interstate 5 in Williams to the west and Highway 99 to the east of West Butte Road. There is a private gravel road off of West Butte Road to the property.
