Tuscan Springs, 240 acres, was once the site of a prestigious three story hotel, saloon, bathhouse, and rental cottages that were first built in the late 1800’s. The springs were said to have the ability to cure a long line of ailments which included rheumatism, fevers, catarrh, any skin disease,ulcers, poison oak,female complaints, and piles. The original hotel burned down in 1916. A new hotel was built in its place and 15 years later the new structure burns down. After the second hotels demise steel could not be acquired due to the Korean War and the hotel was never rebuilt.
