Hogan Bid Sale #12

Hogan-12 (#03019-004096) is a 80-acre tract of timberland located in southwestern Union County about twenty miles southwest of El Dorado, AR and fifteen miles west-northwest of Junction City, AR (North 33.0897, West 92.9822). The west boundary of the tract is the Columbia-Union County line. The property can be accessed via woods road off Union RD 203, a.k.a Salem Cemetery Road. The whole tract features a merchantable stand of mixed hardwood and pine. Being located in the edge of Cornie Creek Bottom, the topography is generally flat with the timber being predominantly bottomland hardwood. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property has an assortment of silt loam and fine sandy loam soils that give the land an excellent weighted average soil site index of 90.0 feet for loblolly pine (base age 50 years). From the intersection of Salen Road with US-63 (Jollys corner) in southwest Union County, travel northward on Salem Road 4.3 miles and turn left onto Union CR-203, a.k.a. Salem Cemetery Road. Travel along Union-203 for 1.1 miles to the cemetery turn off and continue southwesterly for another 0.6 miles and take a right onto a woods road. Follow the woods road another 0.8 miles to the northeast part of the property.
