The 8,988 acre Perico Creek Ranch lies 16 miles due west of Clayton, New Mexico. This is prime grazing land in highly sought after Northeast New Mexico. The topography is slightly rolling to canyon type country extending from a vast mesa plateau. The ranch represents just shy of 7,000 acres of deeded land that is complimented with more than 2,000 acres of New Mexico State Land. The Rose pasture alone, is more than 4,000 acres with its own set of shipping pens and scales. The entire ranch is very well watered with strategically placed windmills, solar pumps and submersible wells. There is a cowboy camp on the north and a hunting camp house on the south. This is by far one the easiest and most efficient ranches to operate.
Wildlife species in the area include mule deer, pronghorn and Swainson's Hawk. In the fall, elk migrate through the ranch in search of savory winter habitat.
