In addition to the cedar removal, the waterways were cleaned out and many earthen dams were built to catch and retain water during periods of wet weather. Although currently dry, these catch dams will hold water year-round during periods of adequate rainfall. In addition to these catch dams, the property is serviced by 3 water wells (1 submersible, 1 windmill and 1 solar well) and there is a rainwater collection guzzler located on the property as well to supplement the wildlife needs.
Hunting on the Diamond M is outstanding; The ranch features improved genetic Whitetails and also has an excellent herd of Axis Deer and Aoudad, along with Blackbuck Antelope, Fallow Deer, Nilgai, and Scimitar Oryx.
