The 1,439 acre Whiskey Place Recreation and Hunting Tract is located one mile north of Marr Flat, along the southeast steep-facing slopes of Dead Horse Ridge, with over two miles of Big Sheep Creek frontage. Most of the property is steep, with a small portion of the tract in Sections 28 and 22 having frontage along Dead Horse Ridge Road, which could accommodate a base camp.

There are some residual stands of timber along the lower canyon that are not economical to harvest.

The property is not fenced, and is used as part of the USFS Grazing Permits. The Tract, due to its size, can qualify for up to three Landowner Preference Tags.

Auction Property 104 480 acre Hepburn Creek Recreation and Hunting Tract is located just northeast of Whiskey Place.
