About Sam Caldwell

Sam joined Fountains Land in 2022 as a New York State licensed salesperson. He owns Blue Line Barn, a construction company specializing in timber frame barns and custom homes. He is also the owner of Bixbys Best Pure Maple Syrup which he started by hanging buckets on any maple tree he could find and boiling on an open pan in his great grandfathers sugarhouse. Bixbys Best now focuses on modern high-efficiency sap yield and secondary understory crop propagation and management. Born and raised in the Adirondacks, Sam's family has been in the region since 1790. A graduate of Colorado College, Sam has worked in the biodynamic farming industry and was involved in the early northern elk herd impact studies related to the reintroduction of the grey wolf to the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park. Outside work, Sam spends as much time as possible on skis, chasing brook trout and exploring the woods with his wife and three mutts.
