Wastaria Produce
Prime Macon Ridge sweet potato soils, with a strong history of potato production. Wastaria Produce was one of the most well known, family owned sweet potato producers and processors in the region throughout the 80s and 90s. The farmland can be purchased with or without the processing facility and storage sheds. The soils are excellent Grenada-Calhoun silt loams. The farm is very close in proximity to the Poverty Point Indian Mounds, an area well known for very deep top soil, perfect for growing sweet potatoes and peanuts. The farm has a large seed cotton base and good yield history of corn and soybeans.
