Wildlife:
Wildlife around this area include White-Tailed Deer, Rio Grande Turkey, and Feral Hogs. Dove and waterfowl hunting can also be excellent in this area around the pond where many Widgeons have been seen. The open field areas also give Snow Geese, Speckled Belly Geese, and Sandhill Cranes many areas to feed when migrating down during the winter months. All of the neighbors are low fence.
Habitat:
The habitat on this ranch has had tremendous work completed within the last few months. The current owner eradicated most of the Mesquite regrowth and left only the larger Bull Mesquites in the fields. Goose Creek however has been left in almost its completely natural state of native trees and brush. Numerous Live Oak Trees dot the creek bottom providing excellent cover for both livestock and wildlife. There is a flood plain along the creek.
Water:
Goose Creek is the main water feature of the ranch and meanders through the property for over 1 mile providing extremely plentiful water during wet times. Even in early January some water holes were still holding plenty of water from the prior rains weeks and even months before. The ranch also features 1 water well and 1 windmill well. 1 large pond is also located in the southeast portion of the ranch.
