Wilburn Grove
Wilburn is an active and productive orange citrus grove totaling 902 acres located east of Sebring in Highlands County Florida. The grove is well cared for with a substantial number of young resets starting to come into production. The soils, and growing environment, provide some of the most productive citrus locations in the state. Varieties include Hamlin, Valencia, Pineapples, and Parson Browns with production averaging 265 boxes over the past two years.
The number of healthy young trees coming into production adds to the appeal and projected future increases in production for this grove. The grove benefits from microjet irrigation and SFWMD permits that allow up to 746 million gallons annually from seven 12 wells. The property benefits from two remaining years on the current fruit contract, with some allowance reserved for delivery to the fresh market.
