To bring electricity to the house, it's about 100', about 130' to the cabin. MVPower will charge $800-$1500 for the transformer, $500 for a second pole (for overhead) and about $200 for wire. Customer is responsible to hire an electrician to set the meter base. So, Mission Valley Power costs $2500 or less. Regarding getting power to the shop, Dave at MVPower said it could be run off the meter to the house with no cost to MVPower, but customer must pay electrician to do it. If underground, costs very similar, however customer is responsible for digging the trench and putting wires in conduit, which isn't a big deal, since digging in this area is fairly easy (not a lot of rock, ect).
