HISTORY
The Northern Colorado Rockies were originally home to several Native American tribes. In the 1800s, the area attracted trappers and prospectors. By the late 1800s, settlers in the Crystal Mountain area had established Stringtown, approximately 300 in population. The town vanished over time. In recent history, the area has been used for lumber, post and pole production as well as cattle grazing. For the past 30+ years the current owner of Crystal Mountain Ranch has gone to great lengths to preserve the pristine and unspoiled nature of the area by limiting human impact.
HUNTING/FISHING
The Ranch is located in Unit 20, one of the most highly desirable hunting areas in Colorado. Only 5 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park and almost entirely surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest, the potential is endless. The North Fork of Fish Creek runs through the property creating a 3 acre pond which could make a great stocked fishing/ casting feature.
