Liberal tag allocation in GMU 3 make it attractive for hunters who would like the opportunity to hunt big game without waiting years to accumulate preference points. Over the counter elk licenses are available for antlered elk rifle 2nd & 3rd seasons, either sex elk archery, Additionally GMU 3 is designated as a "B Unit" elk tag allowing for an additional cow tag.
Mule deer populations are doing quite well in this area. We found a great shed in just minutes of exploring the ranch! Archery, Muzzle loader Second Rifle & Third Rifle mule deer tags can be drawn with zero to 1 points in landowner draws (Landowner Preference Program).
