Piceance Creek Ranch

Originally established as a Cattle Ranch in 1884, Piceance Creek Ranch is a very productive cattle operation and excellent hunting ranch. The word Piceance (PEE-ants) derives from the Shoshoni word meaning Tall Grass. The ranch consists of 5727 +/- deeded acres along with Bureau of Land Management grazing allotment and private oil shale grazing/hunting lease. In total, the ranch encompasses over 20,000 contiguous acres. Piceance Creek meanders through the property for over 4 miles and is an excellent fishery producing Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Brook trout. Along with the creek, numerous springs and wells supply water for tanks, ponds and reservoirs throughout the property and provide year round stock water.
