At the end of a scenic drive down one of San Saba County’s country roads lies one of the most spectacular ranches in the county. A wide stretch of the Colorado River forms the east boundary for about 3400 feet and along with a private lake and 4 stock tanks there is some of the best fishing around. The land has features ranging from grassy fields along the river to rugged hills. Awesome views seem to be around every corner. With exception of the fields along the river bottom, the ranch has heavy tree and brush cover that provides exceptional habitat for deer, turkey, dove, quail and numerous other species of wildlife.

On a high bank of the river with a pastoral view of the area sits a completely renovated cabin. It is about 900 sq. ft. with one bedroom, one bath, kitchen & living area. It has central heating and cooling. The woodburning stone fireplace makes you want to settle down & read a book on those cold winter days. On the more pleasant days you can lounge on the wooden deck that is shaded by huge trees and enjoy the beauty of nature. All of the appliances are included. When company comes to visit, they can stay in the rustic guest cabin with a full bath. Both cabins are supplied water from a well located near them.
A private railroad divides the ranch with about 200 acres on one side and about 300 acres on the other side. Both have river frontage and division is an option that will be considered. The train is colorful and ambles along at a slow pace making just a few trips during the week.
There is much to be said to describe this very unique San Saba County ranch, but it is better to see in order to appreciate its beauty and diversity. Call us any time to schedule a viewing. You will be glad you did!
