The Swedlund Trusts Farms will be offered in 2 tracts at auction on December 7th, 2023, at 10 a.m. Both tracts will be sold based on tax acres and feature Class A soil types.
Tract 1: 69.71 +/- real estate tax acres located southwest of Galesburg, IL on 100E Road (1 mile west of Route 41 by former Munson Hybrids/West Central FS). This tract features a weighted soil PI of 139.9 with recent drainage tile improvements. Known as the Blanche M Swedlund Trust Farm.
Tract 2: 102.3 +/- real estate tax acres located ~3.5 miles east of Monmouth, IL on Warren School Rd. This mostly tillable tract contains quality soils carrying a weighted soil PI of 135.7. Known as the R. Kent Swedlund Trust Farm.
There are no buildings. Tenancy is open for the 2024 crop year on both tracts. Current tenant to be reimbursed for some fall tillage on Tract #1, details in brochure.

The farm will be offered in a Virtual Live Online-Only format. Bids can be made online by registering through the First Mid Ag Services mobile app . Pre-bidding will be available between November 22nd and December 7th with the Live Call beginning at 10:00 AM CST on December 7th.

Tract 1: From Galesburg, take IL Route 41 south 2 miles to County Road 221A and go west (right turn off 41) 1 mile. Then turn left and go 1/4 mile past the FS. Farm starts on the west side of the road.
Tract 2: From Monmouth, take East Broadway/East 192nd Ave past United Township High School, and proceed east. The road naturally turns southeasterly, turning into Warren School Road. Go ~ 1 mile and the farm is on the south side of the road. You will notice a old fashioned windmill. When you see this you are at the farm.
